Carley Santori is originally from Austin, Texas and has been dancing since she was two years old. After training in a college dance program for three years, she sustained a bad injury that forced her to switch courses. Her journey to recovery has taught her a lot about movement and guided her interest to somatic methods that address the body and the mind. Of the somatic techniques she has experienced, she is most influenced by the Feldenkrais Method, which uses experiential learning to help reveal and change habitual movement patterns. Carley is currently pursuing an interdisciplinary Bachelor of the Arts degree through NYU's Gallatin School of Individualized Study that allows her to study her whole scope of interests including dance science, somatics, choreography, and dance film. She brings an intuitive knowledge of the body and a desire to help other people learn more about their bodies.
